Finding a good person now takes longer than finding a good deal. A thousand people see the job posting. The conversation after which someone stays for the long run — maybe one in twenty.
It is not about money. Rates across the industry have levelled out. It is about something simpler: whether we give someone the tools to be better after a year than they were on their first day.
